Radeon RX 7000 series may include refreshed 6nm Navi 2x GPUs

We're still some ways off from AMD launching the Radeon RX 7000 series, but the rumour mill is continuing to churn out early information. Apparently, the RX 7000 series won't just include Navi 3x GPUs, as there may be some Navi 2x GPUs refreshed on a 6nm node to bulk out the line-up.

Known leaker @greymon55 claimed the Navi 31, 32, and 33 will be the only GPUs based on the RDNA 3 architecture. Other GPUs in the line-up will apparently be refreshed Navi 22, 23 and 24 GPUs based on the 6nm node instead of 7nm.

We may not see a refresh of Navi 21, as the Navi 33 GPU appears to be quite similar in terms of specifications. According to rumours, the Navi 33 GPU is expected to come with 5120 stream processors, the same as Navi 21.

The refreshed Navi 2x GPUs would fill in the ranks of the mid and low-range Radeon RX 7000 series cards, most likely the Radeon RX 7600/7500 and below. These GPUs will likely release quite late, with the first, high-end RX 7000 GPUs set to debut in late 2022, followed by mid-range and low-end options in 2023.

KitGuru says: We're still over a year away from seeing AMD's next-gen RDNA 3 graphics cards, so plenty could change over the course of 2022.
