NieR: Automata and Ghostrunner come to PS Now

Each month, PlayStation adds a number of new games to its PlayStation Now lineup. The Game Pass-like subscription service has seen much less fanfare than its Microsoft counterpart, though it is cheaper, and still offers a great selection of games. Joining the service this month is NieR: Automata, Undertale, and more.

For the month of August, only three new titles are being added, though they are rather significant. NieR: Automata is the sequel to the 2010 action-JRPG from the mind of Yoko Taro. Starting its life as a cult title, Automata pushed the franchise to new heights, far exceeding sales expectations and expanding the franchise to multiple mediums. Despite being a sequel, Automata can very much be played on its own, and is worth a try.

Ghostrunner is a fast-paced first-person parkour title which feels like a mix between Mirror’s Edge and Hotline Miami. “Slice your enemies with a monomolecular katana, dodge bullets with your superhuman reflexes, and employ a variety of specialized techniques to prevail.”

Undertale needs no introduction. This indie title took the world by storm when it first released back in 2015. Despite its simplistic art style, the game is packed with personality and heart, with the Undertale fandom remaining stronger than ever to this day. If you have yet to play Undertale, now is your chance to do so.

All three titles are currently available to play for free as long as you have a PS Now subscription. Undertale and Ghostrunner are permanent additions to the service, while NieR: Automata will only be available on the service until the 1st of November.
