Roccat launches Torch, its first studio-grade microphone

Roccat is launching its first studio-grade USB microphone, the Torch. Aimed at gamers, streamers, and content creators, this microphone comes with an impressive feature set, including support for 24-bit audio, dual condenser, latency-free Mic Monitoring, customisable AIMO RGB lighting, and a built-in pop filter.

Compatible with a multitude of shock mounts, boom arms, and other accessories, the Roccat Torch is easy to set up. On the mic, you’ll find special lighting zones that change colour depending on its settings. Moreover, it's plug-and-play, meaning users can just connect to the system, and it will be ready to work.

Through a combination of aesthetics, pro-level performance and a sub £100 price tag, the Roccat Torch can “grow with you as you chase your streaming and content creation passions”, said René Korte, ROCCAT founder and general manager for PC peripherals at Turtle Beach.

Featuring a dual condenser design and support for 24-bit audio with up to 48KHz sampling, the Torch is capable of capturing voices at wide ranges with quality. The Torch has three preset pick-up patterns: cardioid for gaming and streaming, stereo for vocals and instruments, and whisper to capture the quietest voices.

The Torch was designed with accessibility in mind, allowing users to mute it using gestures. Users can also adjust Torch settings, volume, and change patterns using its mixer-style controls. Additionally, it comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack for latency-free Mic Monitoring.

The Roccat Torch is available for pre-order today and will release on August 15th, 2021, priced at $99.99/£89.99. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: Roccat Torch has all the bells and whistles a microphone needs and then some. Are any of you thinking about upgrading to a standalone microphone over a headset mic?
