July’s PS Plus games announced

Each month, PlayStation offers a number of games for free to all those with a PS Plus account. Since the release of the PS5, Sony has offered 3 titles each month: 2 PS4 games and a PS5 title. This month’s new games have been announced, including a Call of Duty title, and A Plague Tale: Innocence.

A Plague Tale: Innocence launched in 2019 to critical success. Developed by Asobo Studio – now known for Microsoft Flight Simulator – A Plague Tale: Innocence is a stealth-horror title which sees you play as Amicia, the daughter of a noble family during the Spanish Inquisition. All the while, a massive plague has broken out, with giant swarms of flesh consuming rats taking over. For fans of emotion-heavy games, interesting settings and great music, A Plague Tale: Innocence fits the bill. The game will be made available only on PS5 – though all PS Plus account holders can redeem the game for later use.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 may have been overshadowed by the following year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (and Warzone), but for those that wish to play a Call of Duty title set in the future, with more sci-fi inspired gadgets and weaponry, Black Ops 4 is the latest game in the franchise to offer this.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is an arcadey take on the popular sport of wrestling where players can “Compete using special abilities and power-ups in match types like Steel Cage, Royal Rumble, and more”. For fans of wrestling who are looking for something other than 2K’s traditional (and recently disappointing) entries, Battlegrounds offers an alternate take on the sport.

All three of these games will be available to purchase and download for free from Tuesday, the 6th of July until Monday, the 2nd of August.
