Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 no longer coming in 2021, switching devs

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been going through development struggles for a while now. The game has already been delayed a couple of times and late last year, the project lost its lead writer and creative director. Now, the game is officially moving studios, with Hardsuit Labs no longer involved with the game.

Paradox Interactive, the publisher behind Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, announced that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be leading development on the game. Beyond that, the game is also no longer targeting a 2021 release date.

The information comes from Paradox's end of year report. You can see the full quote below:

“We have now chosen to postpone the release of the game further, and we will not be launching the game in 2021. We have also decided that Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of Bloodlines 2, and we have started a collaboration with a new studio partner to finish work on the game. This has been a difficult decision, but we are convinced that it is the right way forward to do the game justice.”

Aside from that, the Bloodlines 2 Twitter account also posted an update this week, simply confirming the news from the end of year report, while also saying that the game has not been cancelled and is still in development.

KitGuru Says: Given all of the changes going on behind the scenes, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get an update on Bloodlines 2 for quite some time. Hopefully the new developers can wrap up work on the game in the next few years.
