Fall Guys lands on Switch this Summer

Ever since Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout arrived on PlayStation and PC, many fans of the game have been asking for a Switch version. Back in August 2020, the developers expressed their desire to bring the Battle Royale game to other systems, and now it is finally happening. Fall Guys will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this Summer.

Making the announcement during the recent Nintendo Direct, Mediatonic revealed that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be making its way onto the Switch some time in Summer 2021. The Switch release has been a long time coming ever since the release of the game on PlayStation 4 and PC back in August 2020.

Since then, the game went on to become the best performing PlayStation Plus title of all time while also selling over 10 million copies on PC. Though talk surrounding Fall Guys has dwindled somewhat, the game continues to get updated regularly, and is currently on its 3rd Season. It will be interesting to see whether the Switch launch will give the game another major boost.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a Takeshi’s Castle styled Battle Royale game which sees you go up against 59 other players in a series of minigames. Of course, as with most Battle Royale games, players can purchase and unlock many different cosmetic items allowing you to personalise your character. Though not announced, it will be interesting to see if any Switch exclusive costumes are announced down the line.

Regardless, there’s no denying that Fall Guys is a great fit for the Switch, and it is exciting to see a new set of players get the opportunity to try it out.
