Corsair launches MP600 CORE, PRO and PRO Hydro X Edition PCIe 4.0 SSDs

Corsair is kicking off 2021 strong with two new PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Today marks the launch of the Corsair MP600 CORE, MP600 PRO and the MP600 PRO Hydro X Edition for liquid-cooled setups.

The MP600 CORE offers up to 4,950MB/sec sequential read and 3,950MB/sec sequential write speeds, while the MP600 PRO and MP600 PRO Hydro X can achieve a blazing-fast 7,000MB/sec sequential read and 6,550MB/sec sequential write speeds, making these some of the fastest consumer M.2 SSDs on the market at the moment.

The MP600 CORE will be available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacities. Meanwhile, the MP600 PRO is available in up to 2TB form this month, with a 4TB option coming later. The MP600 PRO Hydro X Edition is only available in 2TB capacity.

What makes the Hydro X Edition special is the included XM2 water block, which allows you to hook up this M.2 SSD with a custom cooling loop. The block itself is also available as a standalone product, so you could choose to water cool your M.2 drive later on.

Other features include high-density 3D QLC NAND memory in the MP600 CORE and high-density 3D TLC NAND in the PRO models. This paves the way for the massive read/write speed boost.

The passively cooled MP600 CORE and MP600 PRO models are fitted with a high surface area aluminium heatsink to prevent thermal throttling. Like all Corsair SSDs, the MP600 series can be monitored with the Corsair SSD Toolbox software. There is also a five-year warranty in-case anything goes wrong.

The Corsair MP600 Core is available starting this month, with prices starting at £144.99 for the 1TB model. The MP600 PRO starts at £209.99 for the 1TB version. Finally, the 2TB Corsair MP600 PRO Hydro X Edition is £424.99.
