DOOM Eternal comes to Nintendo Switch in December

While there was some concern that DOOM Eternal for the Nintendo Switch had been cancelled, Bethesda confirmed that was not the case last week. Now, an official release date has been announced, alongside a trailer for the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Today, Bethesda announced that DOOM Eternal will launch for Nintendo Switch on the 8th of December:

In the trailer above, you can get a bit of a look at the game in action on Nintendo's hardware. While DOOM (2016) had a physical release, DOOM Eternal will be a digital-only title on the Switch. Players will need to sit through an 18.8GB download before ripping and tearing. Switch-exclusive features include optional gyroscope aiming, something that was added to DOOM (2016) on the Switch in a post-release patch. This time around, it'll be an option on day-one.

Unfortunately, the game's expansion, The Old Gods: Part One, is not going to be available for the Switch version yet. The expansion launched for PC, Xbox One and PS4 in October, but it will take a bit longer to arrive for the Nintendo Switch version.

KitGuru Says: I'll likely pick this up out of pure curiosity, just as I did for DOOM 2016 on the Nintendo Switch. Are any of you planning on picking the game up for Nintendo's portable console?
