Acer Aspire 5 with Ryzen 5 5700U APU spotted on Amazon Italy

As AMD has launched the Ryzen 5000 desktop processors, their mobile counterparts are expected to be announced in early 2021. Nonetheless, it seems that work on the Ryzen 5000 mobile APUs is already quite advanced, given the listing found on Amazon Italy for an AMD-powered laptop featuring a Ryzen 7 5700U APU.

The laptop found by Notebookcheck at Amazon Italy is an Acer Aspire 5 priced at €779. According to the listing that has now been removed, the laptop (A515-45-R2J2) would feature the upcoming Ryzen 7 5700U, 8GB of DDR4 memory, a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, WiFi-6 connectivity, and a 15.6-inch IPS screen. The chassis seems to remain the same as the currently available Aspire 5 laptops.

Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs are expected to feature both Lucienne (Renoir refresh) and Cezanne (Zen3) processors architecture. As per the leak from @ExecutableFix, the Ryzen 7 5700U APU is one of the SKUs featuring the Lucienne processor architecture, alongside the Ryzen 5 5500U and the Ryzen 3 5300U.

The only specification that the listing shows about the Ryzen 7 5700U is that it has a base clock of 1.8GHz. Other rumoured specifications of this SKU include an 8C/16T core configuration, a boost clock of 4.3GHz, an iGPU with 8 CUs clocked at 1.9GHz, 8MB of L3 cache, and a TDP ranging from 10W to 25W.

Currently, AMD is expected to fully announce its Ryzen 5000 laptop processors at CES 2021.
