EIZO releases its first ultrawide curved monitor

EIZO has announced its first ultrawide curved monitor. Named FlexScan EV3895, this monitor was designed to “reflect the needs and workstyles of professionals working in trading rooms, home trading stations, and back offices” by offering a wide curved screen that increases the user productivity with multiple practical features.

The 37.5-inch IPS panel features a 3840x1600p resolution (24:10 aspect ratio), 5ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, and wide viewing angles of 178°(H)/178°(V). The 1000:1 contrast ratio and the 300nits of brightness allow the 8-bit panel to cover 94% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and 100% of the sRGB colour gamut.

The vast screen area allows you to “freely arrange multiple applications” to your liking without the need of multi-monitor setups. Thanks to its PbyP (Picture-by-Picture) function and six PbyP presets, this monitor can display three different video signals at the same time with different layout organisations. Additionally, you can also use the same keyboard and mouse by connecting them to the monitor and change between the different sources using the USB selection function.

Input terminals include a USB-C 3.1 port (DP alt. mode), a DisplayPort, and 2x HDMI ports. There's also 2x USB-B 3.1 upstream ports, 4x USB-A downstream ports, and an RJ-45 port. The monitor includes a pair of 1W speakers and a stereo mini-jack. The stand allows you to adjust the monitor's height by an impressive 192.7mm, tilt it from -5º to 35º, and swivel it ±70º, but you can also use a VESA 100x100mm mounting bracket to further improve ergonomics.

The EIZO FlexScan EV3895 will be available in November, in both black and white colour, but pricing is still unknown. You can learn more about this monitor HERE.
