Asus introduces the TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A 170Hz monitor

Asus has announced a new high refresh rate monitor featuring Extreme Low Motion Blur technology. Belonging to Asus TUF Gaming brand, the VG27AQ1A is a G-Sync compatible display that offers HDR support and an “extremely fluid gameplay” experience.

The Asus TUF Gaming comes with a 27-inch IPS panel with a 2560x1440p resolution, 170Hz refresh rate (overclocking), 178°(H)/178°(V) viewing angles, and 1ms response time (MPRT). This 10-bit panel covers 130% of the sRGB colour gamut and 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, thanks to its maximum brightness of 250nits and 1000:1 contrast ratio.

Featuring a “High Flying” design inspired by stealth fighters, the TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A monitor is a Red Dot design winner. Certified with TUV Flicker-free and TUV Low Blue Light, you can rest assured that the VG27AQ1A will not cause any harm to your eyes while you're using it.

This monitor comes with 4 colour temperature options and 7 different game modes (colour profiles) to choose from the monitor's OSD. You can also choose the colour profile through Asus DisplayWidget Lite software, which can also adjust the monitor's Shadow boost, used to boost the brightness in darker areas, and turn-on the Gameplus add-ons, such as the FPS counter, the crosshair, a timer, zoom-in utility, and the display aligner.

To reduce motion blur, this monitor features Trace Free technology and ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur). Additionally, there's GameFast Input technology to reduce the input lag and Adaptive Sync that helps to reduce stuttering and screen tearing.

There are 2x 2W speakers, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a 3.5mm audio-out jack. The ergonomic features of the TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A include tilt (-5º to 23º) and swivel (±20º), but there's a 100x100mm VESA mounting that you can use to improve them.

We don't have UK pricing and availability information for the TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A just yet, but you can learn more about this monitor HERE.
