Tales of Arise won’t land in 2020, new launch window to be announced

Tales of Arise is the latest game to be delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bandai Namco Entertainment, the developer and publisher of Tales of Arise, has announced a delay to the game's release “due to the ambitious nature of the project”. The game was scheduled to land in 2020, but this window has now moved.

The publisher and developer further explains that Tales of Arise belongs to “one of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s most storied franchises”, therefore it has been decided to delay its releases in order to create the “best Tales of experience possible”.

Yusuke Tomizawa, the producer of Tales of Arise, stated that the goal of the latest “Tales of” is to “provide a familiar but innovative gameplay experience” while improving the graphical and visual experience for both newcomers and veterans of the series.

According to Tomizawa, the COVID-19 pandemic affected the development of the game, but the team adapted to work remotely on the project. Unfortunately, the quality goals set for Tales of Arise cannot be met without prolonging the development time, so the team decided to delay its release to create the “gorgeous experience” that they envision for the players.

More details about Tales of Arise will be shared “once the team is ready to announce a new launch window”. You can learn more about Tale of Arise on its official website.
