New Acer Predator XB323U monitor spotted online

A new Acer monitor has come to light after its product page was spotted on Taobao, a Chinese retailer. Part of Acer's Predator line of gaming devices, the new Acer XB323U is a top of the line 32-inch, high refresh rate gaming monitor.

According to TFTCentral, the Acer XB323U is equipped with a 32-inch AHVA (IPS-like) panel from AU Optronics with a 170Hz refresh rate, 1ms G2G of response time (0.5ms G2G in the “fastest” mode), and a resolution of 2560×1440. With a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 400 cd/m² of typical brightness, and 178º/178º viewing angles, the monitor's 10-bit (8bit+FRC) panel offers 95% DCI-P3 coverage and 99% coverage of the Adobe RGB colour gamut.

According to Nvidia's list of G-Sync compatible monitors, this monitor is certified as “G-Sync Compatible”. This means that it will probably support VRR technology for both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. According to TFTCentral, the VRR range is from 48Hz to 170Hz, with support for lower refresh rates through LFC. It also features Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB), and VESA DisplayHDR 600, meaning it should be capable of producing peak brightness levels of 600 cd/m².

As per the retail listing, the monitor comes with a pair of 2W integrated speakers, and it has tilt, height and rotation adjustments (swivel not confirmed). It can also be wall-mounted, and by the looks of it this is achieved thanks to a VESA 100x100mm bracket. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 video ports, 4x USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Acer XB323U is expected to be available in May. Pricing for Europe and the US is not yet confirmed, but Taobao's retail listing shows a price of 5800 Yuan (roughly €753/£657).
