ASRock unveils the Radeon RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC graphics card

After the launch of AMD's new Radeon RX 5500 XT, ASRock has launched its RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC model. Similar to the Challenger OC we reviewed last week, this graphics card uses a twin-fan cooler, but with a different shroud design incorporating the company's signature Phantom Gaming aesthetic.

As with all 5500 XT cards, the GPU has a 128-bit memory interface and PCI Express 4.0 support. To connect the graphics card to your display, you can choose between 3x DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC 1.2a and 1x HDMI 2.0b, while it also has a single 8-pin power connector.

This core of this card comes with a base clock of 1685MHz and a game clock of 1737MHz, while the boost clock can reach up to 1845 MHz. The memory, on the other hand, comes clocked at 14Gbps. Based on our initial reviews last week, with very similar specs to the Challenger OC we would expect solid 1080p gaming performance.

The ASRock Radeon RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC also features Polychrome SYNC function, allowing it to synchronise its RGB LEDs with an ASRock motherboard that also supports the technology. It also comes equipped with a metal backplate, making the graphics card more “fancy, cool and solid” according to ASRock. Lastly, the card also features 0dB Silent Cooling technology, enabling the fans to stop when the GPU's temperature is low.

No pricing or availability details are known yet. For more information about the ASRock Radeon RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC, click HERE.
