Daemon X Machina receives Witcher DLC, in the form of Geralt and Ciri skins

Daemon X Machina, the third-person mech shooter, developed by Marvelous and published by Nintendo in the West, has received an interesting piece of DLC. The title has collaborated with CD Projekt Red, releasing skins inspired by the Witcher 3. Players in Daemon X Machina can now make their character look like either Geralt or Ciri from the acclaimed RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The DLC is available for free to all those who own the game. Daemon X Machina is a Switch exclusive title, which released to mixed reviews back in September. It is therefore interesting to see this collaboration take place.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, meanwhile, released on the Nintendo Switch back in October, to a positive reception, with the title having sold over 20 million copies, across all of the platforms it released on.

This isn’t the first time that Geralt has appeared across different franchises. The White Wolf appears as a guest star in the fighting game Soul Calibur VI, and also featured in a crossover event with Monster Hunter World – the action RPG from Capcom.

Daemon X Machina has also collaborated with other franchises – namely Eureka Seven and Code Geass, although as of right now, those remain exclusive to Japan. The trailer for the Daemon X Machina and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt crossover is available here.
