Alphacool’s Eisball reservoir/pump combo officially launches today

We've seen Alphacool's Eisball pump/reservoir combo a couple of times already this year- once at CES in January and again at Computex in May. Both times, Leo seemed enamoured by it and now, the Eisball is officially hitting the market.

It takes a lot to deliver something truly unique in the custom liquid cooling space but Alphacool appears to be on to a winner with the Eisball Digital. This is the first ball shaped reservoir/pump combo unit, with a water capacity of 700ml. The transparent nylon material being used makes the unit almost unbreakable and is more stable compared to Acrylic. The design also surrounds the pump in water, which will insulate pump vibrations for quieter operation.

In terms of mounting, there are two basic ways that the Eisball can be fitted into a system. One mounting plate fits on a 120mm or 140mm fan spacing, so you could mount it straight on to a radiator, or case fan slot. Alternatively, a second mounting plate is included that can mount the Eisball directly onto a 2.5-inch SSD mounting space. I'm sure those with modding experience will come up with some other creative solutions too.

There are two versions of the Eisball available, one with an integrated/pre-installed pump and a cheaper version with no pump. If you opt to use your own pump, then the Eisball is compatible with all VPP and Laing D5 pumps.

The Eisball is available from Alphacool starting today, priced at €79.94 without a pump or €124.95 with a pump pre-installed.

KitGuru Says: The Eisball is certainly unique, I'll be looking forward to seeing it in action myself. Are any of you currently planning a new water-cooled build? Would you consider using the Eisball for your pump/reservoir?
