Fire Emblem: Three Houses promises a lengthy campaign and 200 hours of content for completionists

Fire Emblem makes its grand return this year on Nintendo Switch with Fire Emblem: Three Houses. We are used to lengthy stories accompanying these games but Three Houses is going to pack a lot more in thanks to the three different paths you can take, promising upwards of 200 hours of gameplay for completionists.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses starts off with three different houses you can align yourself with. The first part of the game will see you teaching and training your own squad of troops and bonding with them for stat boosts. The decisions you make in this part of the game will have an impact later on, as the second half of the game will see war break out amongst the three houses. So to see absolutely everything the game has to offer, you will need to do a few playthroughs, one with each house and try out different methods in the early game to create the best squad of troops possible.

In an interview with JeuxVideo from Japan Expo 2019, Fire Emblem: Three Houses director, Toshiyuki Kasukihara, said that “to finish the game with just one of the three houses, it took me 80 hours”, of course that is without skipping any dialogue or cutscenes. With that in mind, doing all three paths “can take you more than 200 hours”.

Of course, the main story is just the beginning for Three Houses. The game will have a season pass which will add new content between launch and April 2020. Fire Emblem: Three Houses releases for Nintendo Switch on the 26th of July.

KitGuru Says: I put a ton of time into Fire Emblem: Awakening on the 3DS so I am very excited for Three Houses. So far, the game seems like an awesome mix of Persona mechanics mixed with a tactical RPG, which is something I'll undoubtedly sink a lot of time into. Are many of you looking forward to this one?
