Monster Hunter World’s crossover with The Witcher 3 is available on PC next month

Back in December, Capcom and CD Projekt Red announced that they would be collaborating on a special quest line for Monster Hunter World. During the event, players will be placed in the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, complete with his usual weapons and abilities. The crossover debuted on consoles back in February but next month, those of us on PC can finally get in on the action.

The crossover is available to any player that has reached Hunter Rank 16 or higher. It all kicks off with the mission ‘Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest', and will see Geralt tracking down and dealing with Leshen. The quest line even has dialogue options and different story outcomes depending on your choices. As far as crossovers go, this one appears to be quite deep.

Trouble in the Ancient Forest is just the first contract that players can take on. ‘Contact: Woodland Spirit' will be dropping on the 15th of February for players at Hunter Rank 50 or above.

Playing through these missions will earn you unique gear. You'll be able to craft Geralt's armour and weapon sets, unlock a unique skin for the Palico, new gestures, poses, guild card backgrounds and more. Playing the harder ‘Woodland Spirit' mission will get you the resources you need to craft Ciri's armour too.

The Monster Hunter World x The Witcher 3 special event is already available on Xbox One and PS4. On the 9th of May, this content will finally be made available to PC players.

KitGuru Says: I'm really excited to get my hands on this. Did any of you try out the crossover missions when they first came out on console? Will you be revisiting it on PC?
