ASUS ROG Delta USB-C RGB Headset Review

Rating: 9.0.

Today we are reviewing the high-end ASUS Republic of Gamers Delta USB-C RGB headset. It has a beautifully ergonomic D-shaped ear cup design, and provides detailed, true to life audio with its updated Essence drivers and hi-fi grade ESS quad DAC. The headset doesn't come cheap however, as it retails at around the £169.99 mark. Does the Delta have the necessary features and quality to justify that price, or is it just pretty to look at?

During my time using the ROG Delta USB-C headset, I definitely found it enjoyable to use. It's very comfortable and the overall sound quality is great. The Delta is also really stylish, I love the silver/black design and the RGB LED zones are very flattering against the headsets' colours.  The frame of the headset feels very sturdy and having the steel adjustable headband means people with all head shapes and sizes will be able to wear the headset comfortably.

When playing games when using the Delta, I found it a lot easier to distinguish precise locations and the distance of enemies within first person shooter games when compared to my Corsair Void Pro, for instance. Even just hearing explosions, gunfire and enemy footsteps clearly is a step in the direction of becoming a better gamer, and having a great sounding gaming headset is definitely going to help with all of this.

Installing the ROG Armory software is a definite must in my opinion, as you have the ability to optimise your headset fully via the use of different profiles – one for gaming, one for music and so on. There's also manual controls like adjusting the sound via EQ, setting any reverb, bass options and much more.

Overall, I really like the ASUS ROG Delta – it's very comfortable, it sounds great for a gaming headset and the design-conscious gamers out there will also love the swish RGB and silver/black design.
