EA’s Star Wars Battlefront II has been out for over a year, with the notable absence of General Obi-Wan Kenobi. As of next week, the Jedi master will finally be stepping into battle on the plains of Geonosis, free to all who own the game.

Obi-Wan Kenobi first graced screens in 1977 portrayed by Alec Guinness, where the former General mentored Luke Skywalker on his quest. Ewan McGregor stepped into the role as a younger version of the character in 1999’s The Phantom Menace. EA has opted to use the Attack of the Clones incarnation, using McGregor’s likeness.

The film itself is a part of the divisive prequel trilogy but the Battle of Geonosis has always been a highlight in video games. Unique vehicles including the BARC speeder used by the Clones and the STAP patrol crafts used by the droids make an appearance, alongside the All-Terrain Tactical Enforcer (AT-TE).

Kenobi will face off against the recently introduced General Grievous in the Battle of Geonosis update, ushering in new skins for the Supreme Commander of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Currently, EA is offering its Standard Edition of Star Wars Battlefront II on Origin for a reduced price of £13.74 for a limited time, while console players can grab the game for £14.99 on PlayStation 4 and £16.99 for Xbox One on Amazon.
