Sharkoon swaps leather with breathable fabric for new affordable SKILLER SGS2 gaming chairs

When you spend hours a day sat at a desk, it is important to make sure you have a comfortable place to sit with plenty of back support. We've seen a big rise in the gaming chair market over the last few years because of this but many options end up coming in above the £200 mark. This week, Sharkoon is launching a new line of gaming chairs, coming in at a competitive price while maintaining many of the usual features you would expect.

Sharkoon's SKILLER SGS2 gaming chair is a new seat in the range. Rather than opting for leather, this particular chair comes with a breathable fabric cover instead, encasing the 83 cm high foam padded backrest as well as the 39.5 x 50 cm large seat. The base of the chair has steel frame construction, meanwhile the backrest is adjustable with a tilt control system, so there is plenty of room for individual adjustments. You can check out the chairs in the gallery below:

The chair comes in a black design with different coloured highlights, including red, blue, green and grey. Seating height is always important to overall back posture, so this chair comes equipped with a class-4 gas lift piston so people of different sizes can find their sweet spot.

The gas-lift piston can safely support a maximum weight of 110 kilograms. The total weight of the chair itself is 20.8KG, with five 60mm wheels supporting it. All of the chair options will be available within a few weeks time, with suggested pricing of 179 euros, making it competitive up against the likes of Vertagear, AK Racing and other competitors.

KitGuru Says: I've been shopping around for a new chair myself, as my current one is starting to get a bit old. How many of you are currently looking for a new chair for your desk? What do you think of Sharkoon's new offering?
