Cooler Master is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a tempered glass COSMOS II

Cooler Master is launching a brand new edition of the COSMOS II, arguably one of the company's most famous premium PC cases. The COSMOS II 25th Anniversary Edition is something of a tribute to the original COSMOS and the launch is just around the corner.

Thew new COSMOS II will feature two curved tempered glass panels, which is something we haven't seen before in any other PC case. In true COSMOS fashion, these panels unlock and swing open like doors too. These panels will be included with the COSMOS II but they will also be sold as a separate product with compatibility for the original COSMOS II.

Aside from the curved tempered glass sides, this special edition of the COSMOS II also features an updated design with brushed aluminium handles, front panel and top panel. The top panel also hides an advanced control panel with a hot swappable hard drive bay.

As always, the inside of the case comes with a ‘high airflow mesh' and a spacious interior to house all of your components. This certainly isn't the sort of case that will leave you worrying about the length of your graphics card.

The Cooler Master COSMOS II 25th Anniversary Edition is expected to be available any day now with a retail price of £299.99.

KitGuru Says: I've always loved the look of the COSMOS II but the upgrade to tempered glass sides really adds another layer in my opinion. Are any of you currently using a COSMOS II? What do you think of the 25th anniversary edition?

  1. Premium case with no USB-C on the front panel, again. Why is that, anyone?

  2. Oh hell no…..they can’t do 25yrs without a HAF. My old HAF932 was so far ahead of its time I’m surprised it didn’t have USB4. 6 years old and it had a motherboard cutout, side window and USB 3.0 on a movable panel, I loved that giant brute. I had most of the big old ugly CM cases over the years.

Which leads me on to just how disappointed I am with the boring bland DIY multipart kit cases Cooler Master are producing now. The Maker range has totally turned me off Cooler Master. I don’t want to buy a black box then spend a fortune on their website ‘personalising’ them. Such a shame that they have sucked all the personality out of a brand that once produced a great, very solid product that wasn’t afraid to be different.
