The new Razer Blade Pro has higher specs, gets THX certification

It looks like Razer is upping the ante this week with its Blade Pro laptop. Not only has the laptop received a hardware spec bump, but it is also the world's first laptop to be qualified for THX Mobile Certification, which is supposed certify the quality of the laptop's display and audio capabilities.

Through the THX process, the Razer Blade Pro screen is calibrated and tested for optimal resolution, colour accuracy and video playback. Similarly, the audio jack on the new Blade Pro is certified by THX, meaning it should also have plenty of grunt in the audio department for those of you who like high-end headphones and speakers.

Aside from that, the Razer Blade Pro has also received a specification bump. This model features a 17.3-inch 4K IGZO display with Nvidia G-Sync. It offers 100 percent Adobe RGB colour accuracy and decent viewing angles, so it should be pretty to look at.

Under the hood, there is an Intel Core i7 7820HK quad core CPU, 32GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2667MHz and an Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU. For storage, the Blade Pro is available in configurations up to 2TB, though the price will rise accordingly depending on SSD size.
