G.Skill launches Trident Z 3866MHz 32GB RAM

If you are after a blazing fast DDR4 kit of RAM, then look no further as G.Skill has you covered with the latest addition to its Trident Z line. The new Trident Z DDR4 Memory kit delivers 32GB of RAM at speeds of 3866MHz, making it one of the highest performing around out of the box.

With DDR4 systems becoming more common, a lot of people have been bumping up to 32GB kits, so G.Skill is offering a 32GB capacity spread over four 8GB modules. As far as timings go, this kit runs at CL18-19-19-39 under 1.35V.

Under the boldly designed heat spreader you will find Samsung's high-performance IC memory chips, which were selected to deliver high frequency performance. For the overclockers out there, this kit supports XMP 2.0 so the setup should be painless.

This is a high-end kit of RAM but unfortunately, we don't have exact pricing and availability information just yet, so keep an eye out and we'll update this story when it comes through.

KitGuru Says: I currently run 16GB of RAM in my personal rig right now but I do wonder how many people are starting to move over to 32GB kits. Are any of you guys moving on to 32GB of RAM?

  1. I am currently going for 128 GB RAM, because there is no 256 four-channel kit available yet. Currently, the sweet spot for 128 GB DDR4 RAM kit seems to be the 3200 MHz one. Affordable price and several vendors availability.

  2. Yes there are. Crucial sells 4×64 kits of ECC RAM.

  3. Thanks for your reply. I am aware of this option, but it is for Xeons and other processors that support ECC RAM. Alas, this is not my case, for the PC I am assembling will use core i7 6950X. What I meant was a 256 GB DDR4 quad-channel kit non-ECC RAM compatible with the 6950 X processor.
