PS4 to PC remote play is arriving tomorrow

Earlier this year, Sony announced that it would be bringing its PlayStation Remote Play feature to the PC, allowing PC owners to stream their PS4 titles. Now, we know that this feature is arriving tomorrow in the PS4 3.50 update but there are a few limitations in place.

The PS4 to PC Remote Play feature only allows streaming in resolutions up to 720p and defaults at 540p. However, there is an option to stream at either 30 or 60 frames per second so at least there's that.

The feature is officially supported on Mac OS X 10.10/10.11 and up while on the Windows side there is support for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

This update follows on from an unofficial app released in November last year, which brought the PS4's Remote Play functionality to the PC. Sony announced shortly after that it would be bringing official support later on in the 3.50 update, which launches tomorrow.

KitGuru Says: Now both the Xbox One and PS4 can stream games across to the PC. However, Sony's implementation is limited to 720p, which may be a little disappointing to some.
