I like it when companys show a sense of humour. I would have been more impressed if they put the lighter fluid over the actual insides rather than the case 🙂
hey man, that’s not even a real laptop .. what they have done is to rig up a portable DVd player, that is playing a movie of windows starting up. Yeah Dude .. you *cannot* fool the man.
If however this was real it would be the Thermal shock, ie rapid cooling from hot to cold (lighter fuel fire –> CO2 ) that would cause the failure. They didn’t even test the PC. or the bits that were left.

What scietific fact do you think they have proven? How do you think they will market this to home users? Obviously this was just an excuse for them to have some fun and get out of the office/lab. Why so serious?
