Back at E3, Microsoft announced that it would be bringing Gears of War back to the PC with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Since then, not much else has been said about it, though the studio behind it says they are still working on it and getting it running with DirectX 12. However, it looks like we will be getting another entry to the Gears series at some point as well on the PC.
Gears of War 4 is currently scheduled for 2016, as long as it doesn't get hit with any delays. We already saw a trailer for the game this year and it is currently only announced for Xbox One, but according to a GAME listing, the title will also land on PC.

It isn't uncommon for retailers to have early access to information surrounding upcoming releases, though these retail leaks aren't always accurate. After all, Microsoft itself listed Sunset Overdrive as coming to the PC at one point and yet, a PC version is nowhere to be found.
That said, Microsoft does appear to be making more of an effort on the PC. We still don't have the main Halo games, but bringing Gears of War back to the PC is a pretty good start.
KitGuru Says: I recently played through Gears of War Ultimate Edition on the Xbox One, which reminded me just how much I enjoy that series. Given that, I'd be happy to see the series return to the PC platform, though nothing official has been announced just yet. Which Xbox exclusives would you guys like to see land on PC? Halo is the obvious choice but the console does have quite a few games up its sleeve.

Gears 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Quantum Break all need a PC release with DirectX 12 support.

Rise of the Tomb Raider isn’t an actual exclusive, it’s a timed exclusive. It WILL be getting a PC/PS4 release, that was confirmed months ago.
I would love to see the Forza games come to PC, specifically the Horizon games.
“…with DirectX 12 support.”
I doubt it’ll come to PC (I feel like they’ve confirmed it wont, or maybe that was 360).
Why would they put a new entry of their second biggest franchise on anything other than the One?
Consoles are loosing more and more of their exclusive games. If what is confirmed about Gears of War and RDR 2 are coming to PC, then really, what’s left? Uncharted for PS4…Halo for Xbox one… 😀 and the value of a console is coming down when people are able to build a better PC for nearly the same price that performs better…
I think ultimately there is no reason to restrict PC releases for these games. As a PC gamer I can tell you just cause the game is only on consoles doesn’t give PC gamer’s an incentive to get consoles – we just play other games. in essence by not releasing it on PC they are just restricting another market which they can profit from. I understand exclusives between consoles but PC is pretty much outside of that since no game is likely to make a PC gamer trade in the performance difference for a console.
Which? Halo and Gears. They are the only ones i care about. Although, BLACK on the original Xbox was awesome, simply because the sound effects where top notch.
