Sony will make PS4 remote play for PC official

This week, a developer launched an unofficial version of Sony's ‘Remote Play' app for the PC, allowing PlayStation 4 owners to stream their console games to a PC. The official version of Sony's program only works with the PS Vita but thanks to this little nudge, Sony has decided to make PC support official and will be coming out with its own app.

The news came from Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, the president of Sony Worldwide Studios, who said: “Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac”.

This is likely a response to the unofficial app, which launched this week and does cost money. Sony's official version will likely be free. While this feature will be coming, we don't know if mouse and keyboard support will come with it, so you may need to stick to your console controller, as is the case with Xbox One to PC streaming.
