Amazon has been experimenting with same day delivery over in the US this year, with Prime Now expanding to a few cities. The retail giant even brought the service over to London earlier this year but now it is set to expand further to cover nine more locations across the UK. Prime's same day delivery is available on over one million items on Amazon, which means if you really need something quick, or just don't fancy waiting, you can get it within a matter of hours.
In order to have an item delivered on the same day, users need to place their orders by Noon. Items will then be delivered between 6PM and 10PM. Amazon has also experimented with one and two-hour delivery options over the last year, though those aren't expanding just yet, being limited to certain postcodes in London and Birmingham.
Prime same day delivery will now be available in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Dudley, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Those who are subscribed to Amazon Prime can get same day delivery for free, those who aren't subscribed will need to pay £9.99 per order.
Those eligible for one hour delivery will need to pay £6.99, whether they are subscribed to Prime or not.
