KitGuru and the future

Hello! It seems like a very long time since I sat down to ‘address' a readership. Some of you may know me from my last position as Founder and Editor In Chief of DriverHeaven.net – which was the result of many a bored night wondering if I could be productive and help people with Driver support as well as hardware decisions. The site was a great success for me and when I left at the end of 2009 I simply had enough and wanted to get back into the design industry. I have many fond memories of working at Heaven Media and I wish them all the very best as they have a great team.

So why I am here today only a handful of months later? Well it didn't take me long to realise that I missed the scene, I missed giving people advise on what hardware they should buy as well as the duff equipment they should avoid. I wanted something new and different … something I had a firmer hand with and a community I could once again relate to one on one. There will be many new faces behind the scenes, good friends of mine within the industry – after all it really is the only way to keep yourself on your toes – with fresh blood comes fresh ideas. We know you guys love games (I know I do), so we already have a gaming section on the site which will be updated regularly.

KitGuru – I hope over the coming year will become a resource that is both entertaining and educational and we will not only be reviewing a plethora of hardware but will be breaking news … right as it happens – and sometimes before it happens … well if our ‘Back To The Future' Delorean car is still working that is.

If you are new to this site and are wondering what it is all about – give us some time to get on our feet and feel free to join our community forums and air your thoughts, dreams and goals. Without your interest it is pretty much a waste of time, but trust me I still have plenty to say, and this is the place I will be saying it.
