Apparently Samsung is going to keep working with flexible screens

Samsung has been experimenting with flexible displays for a while now and has even included them on some of its high-profile smartphones, including the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S6 Edge. However, Samsung is tipped to be expanding its curved display offerings with the Galaxy Note 5 and later next year, the Galaxy S7.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge launched recently and has been well received by most, so much so that it makes you wonder why they bothered with a regular Galaxy S6 at all. Next year, things might change and the Galaxy S7 may feature its own curved display.

Samsung is expecting huge sales of next year's flagship thanks to the positive reaction to the Galaxy S6 Edge, as a result, it is now expanding its display division to meet the potential demand, according to South Korean based site, ETNews.

Speaking with the site, an unnamed source tipped that Samsung has ordered eight million flexible panels a month, in preparation for next year's Galaxy S7. Additionally, this year's Galaxy Note 5 will come with a flexible OLED edge display, the company is also working on improving yields in order to help meet demand for the Galaxy S6 Edge.
