AOC to release 144Hz G-Sync monitor next month

AOC is set to release a new “high end” gaming monitor next month, featuring Nvidia's G-Sync technology coupled with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. These three features should eliminate screen tearing as well as any possible ghosting effects.

The AOC press release says:

“The g2460Pg redraws the screen more than twice as fast as conventional 60 Hz displays, making eye fatigue and screen tearing problems of the past. Gone are the days of missed targets because of stuttering images that can occur on monitors with low refresh rates. In addition, the integrated DisplayPort connector is the ideal input option for fast and seamless image transmission. Not only do the in-game environments come to life in one super-smooth movement, but also at a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and in vibrant, bright colours, thanks to a luminosity of 350 cd/cm².”

“The g2460Pg’s impressive performance does not come at the cost of sustainability. It comes with the intelligent software solutions Eco Mode and e-Saver to drive down energy consumption. The display also fulfills strict regulations such as EnergyStar 6.0 and TCO 6.0. As with all of its monitors, AOC offers a 3 year warranty with on-site exchange service.”

This new monitor won't break the bank either, it will be available by the end of next month for £369.

  1. Using 3x Dell 23 inch at the moment, but can really see the tearing on this unless i use V-sync. Would love a screen like this, if only it had IPS.

  2. I’m using benQ XL2411Z @ 144hz

  3. At the moment I’m using a pair of Hanns-G HZ281’s – lovely size, good refresh – and just that -little- bit of extra res (1920×1200). Don’t feel any need to migrate, but hey, if AOC wanna try and convince me by sending me one for a week for “quantitive testing” I’ll be happy to oblige…

  4. I use a BenQ Gaming XL2720T , refresh rate is great, size great and 3D gaming.
