Terrible Things game renamed A Terrible Time after threat

The Kickstarter for raunchy and deplorable card game, Terrible Things, has had a bit of a rough time of it as of late. Despite managing to break its $75,000 campaign threshold with just a few days to go, it hit a massive roadblock when the nerds over at Game of Things decided to issue a cease and desist letter, simply because the word “Things,” was in the title of the game. With no budget for a legal defence, the creators decided to change the name at their own expense and have now settled on “A Terrible Time.”

“After much pulling of hair and gnashing of teeth, we here at TERRIBLE PEOPLE LLC determined that this was the best way to get the damn thing printed and into your terrible little paws as quickly as possible,” reads the campaign's statement.

Perfect for forever changing grandma's opinion of you this Christmas

“While we could have gone forward with a lengthy battle to keep “THINGS” in our title, we knew that delivering the product as soon as possible was more important to everyone involved. We want to thank everyone who gave us support, advice, and encouragement during this unfortunate period–you guys rule. We hope you'll agree that the end product was worth your patience.”

Unfortunately all this name changing and shifting around has meant that A Terrible Time won't be delivered until January next year. However, you can print a version yourself (which is what I'll be doing for extra family fun at Christmas) via the Make Your Own Damn Game version.

If you didn't pledge in the initial campaign, you can still get the print your own version by clicking the link above and buying it. Want to give it a try before paying? It's on a pay-what-you-want model, so you can give as much or as little as you want.

KitGuru Says: Very much looking forward to this. Love a good silly game after a few drinks, especially around Christmas when everyone's feeling borderline bulimic after lunch.
