Assassin’s Creed IV has PlayStation exclusive missions

Despite one of its high ranking officials stating just yesterday that console exclusives don't benefit anyone, Sony fans are set to get an hour of extra gameplay in the upcoming Assassin's Creed IV, with an exclusive campaign based around Assassin's Creed Liberation's Aveline de Grandpre.

This new miniature campaign was announced in a new Ubisoft trailer, which describes around an hour of extra content through three specific missions. According to game director Ashraf Ismail, because of Aveline's mix up of following the Assassin's code, but being guided also by her own motivations, makes her an interesting character to play as one that he thinks players want to see more of. The three missions progress Aveline's story beyond Liberation and let her stretch her legs in a much bigger world. She does come equipped with her traditional weapon set of hidden blades, pistols and hatchet like machete. Her fighting style is also preserved from her previous game.

Assassin's Creed IV is set for release on 1st November on current-gen consoles and PC, and later that month on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Kitguru Says: Obviously this extra content was in the works before Adam Boyes made his statement on console exclusives and chances are he was talking about games, not necessarily content, but still, the timing is a bit poor.
