Games Workshop, the company behind such hit tabletop experiences as Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000 and Blood Bowl, has continued its expansion into the digital realm, with a reimagining of the hit boardgame Talisman, set for a launch on iOS and Android devices on 25th April.
Don't get too excited though, as it isn't a multiplayer release, though that is in the works. As it stands Talisman on handheld devices will be singleplayer only, but it does include 50 quests for you to fight your way through. 10 characters from the original board game will also be present. The final title of the game is Talisman: Prologue, hinting at the multiplayer release, which will (according to Eurogamer) be called Talisman Digital Edition. Both are being/have been produced by Thumbstar Games, which was responsible for other mobile titles, Ant Hill and Premier Manager.
Games Workshop also recently announced an upcoming digital re-release of Space Hulk as well.
KitGuru Says: Who's hoping for full digital versions of Warhammer and 40k at some point in the future? That would bring in a lot of new gamers to the tabletop too.
