Lenovo have announced to the press that they are releasing a new range of laptop and desktop computers.
The Ideapad Z565 will be offered with an AMD Phenom II (single, double, triple and quad will be offered) with ATI Mobility Radeon graphics. The 4200 integrated, HD 5470 512mb and 5470 1GB will be paired up with the Phenoms.
The IdeaPad Z series and U series are being paired up with the Z series notebooks and will be available in 13.3″, 14″ and 15.6″ form factor solutions. The Z360 (13.3″), Z460 (14″) and Z560 (15.6″) will all feature the new Intel Core i3/i5/i7 technology as well as nVidia GeForce 315M graphics (1GB).
The Z series notebooks will support up to 8GB of ram (DDR3) and feature integrated bluetooth as well as eSATA connectivity with additional pricing for BluRay versions.
IdeaPad U160 and U460's will also be released and they feature a resculpted chassis design which resembles the letter “U” when closed or viewed from a side angle. The U160 (11.6″) and U460 (14″) are home to the ultra low voltage Core i3, i5 and i7 processors from Intel. Lenovo are offering a wide range from the i3-330UM processor (1.2ghz, 3mb cache) to the i7-640UM with Turbo Boost Technology (1.20ghz, 4mb Cache).
The U160 is lightweight, weighing in at only 2.76 pounds with a 3 cell battery and 3.09 with a 6 cell battery option available if mobile life is higher on your priority list.
The U160 and U460 feature a 1366×768 display. U160 is integrated only while the U460 will have nVidia Geforce 305M (512mb) support. U160 supports up to 4GB of memory – U460 doubles that count to 8GB. Both machines have 3 USB2 ports, one eSATA connection and 802.11n with Bluetooth.
Lenovo have also mentioned the release of the new all in one machines – the IdeaCentre A700 and B305 which are both available with Lenovo NaturalTouch fingertip screen technology – ideal to get tomato sauce on your monitor when eating a pizza. The A700 has an aluminum chassis which measures just 0.8 inches at its thinnest point and 2.5 inches at the thickest. The bundle also features a 23 inch screen with 1920×1200 support and can be matched up with an ATI 5450 (512MB0 or the higher specification HD5650 (1GB). Again the full range of Intel Core-i processors make the heart of the machines.
At the lower end the B305 features a 21.5inch display and features AMD Athlon X2, X3 or X4 processors depending on your budget.
The IdeaCenter Q150 is Lenovos newest nettop computer which showcases the Atom D410 single core CPU from Intel which runs at 1.66ghz. If you want a slighly higher specification they are also offering the Atom D510 which runs at the same clock speed but is dual core and features the nVidia Ion platform.
KitGuru says: All of these machines (and more) will be available from June.
