Google Nexus 7 set to get a storage boost

One of our biggest concerns about the ASUS-produced, Google-marketed Nexus 7 tablet in our review was the internal storage; or lack of it. However, the tablet is set to receive a 32 GB model, seemingly in the coming weeks.

A Japanese customer bought a brand-new 16 GB model but on arrival they discovered that it in fact had 27 GB of usable storage; hinting very strongly at a 32 GB model.

A pricing leak from local retailer Dixons unveils the price of the 32 GB model to be £199, the same price as the current 16 GB model. Presumably the 16 GB will then replace the 8 GB model at £159.

KitGuru says: ASUS and Google have obviously heard customers' wants and plan to go ahead with launching a 32 GB model.
