I have used Microsoft keyboards for many years and really rate them as a great solution. They announced their latest Sculpt Comfort board which is a rather unusual design.

This full size desktop model is an ergonomically friendly Comfort Curve layout. The difference is that this time they have split the space bar, and the left side can be configured to be used as a backspace key. Microsoft have been at the forefront of ergonomic models now for some time and they claim that the fingers are constantly near the space bar, so it makes sense.

They have included a padded palm rest with the model and you can remove it if it becomes annoying under use.

The board also has new Windows hotkeys to link into new features in Windows 8, such as the Charm bar. It supports Windows 7 and Vista, but not XP. The price point is set at $60, which we assume will translate to around £45-£50 in the United Kingdom.
