SteelSeries has expanded its Apex Pro Gen 3 Series keyboard lineup with two new additions: the compact Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 and the white variant of the Apex Pro TKL Gen 3. These new offerings build upon the success of the Gen 3 series, delivering enhanced performance and customisation options for gamers.
The Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 joins the existing Apex Pro Gen 3 lineup, which includes full-size, TKL, and TKL Wireless variants. The Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 features OmniPoint 3.0 magnetic switches with adjustable actuation levels ranging from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm and a compact 60% form factor. Premium switch stabilisers minimise key wobble, factory-lubed switches provide a smoother feel and a “thockier” sound, and dampening foam enhances the overall keypress experience. The Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 also incorporates advanced GG software features like Rapid Tap, Rapid Trigger, and Protection Mode.
The new Protection Mode prevents accidental key presses by reducing the sensitivity of selected surrounding keys, mitigating unintended inputs. There's also Rapid Tap, which prioritises the last tapped key in a pair, enabling faster input and improved counter-strafing, peeking, crouch-jumping, and slide-cancelling, and Rapid Trigger for repeated key presses without requiring full key release. GG QuickSet simplifies keyboard configuration by providing presets for popular titles, adjusting actuation levels, Rapid Trigger, Protection Mode, Rapid Tap, RGB lighting, and other settings.
In addition to the Apex Pro Gen 3 series, SteelSeries has introduced a new Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 white variant. The Apex Pro TKL White Gen 3 shares the core features of the Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 but comes in a larger form factor, catering to users who desire a balance of size and functionality. The Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 and Apex Pro TKL White Gen 3 are now available for £189.99/$199.99/€219.99 and £209.99/$219.99/€239.99, respectively.
