Like clockwork, Hello Games has announced and released another massive update for No Man’s Sky. Just a couple months on from the game’s biggest update yet, Hello Games have returned with the palaeontology-focused ‘Relics Update’.
Available to download and play right now, patch 5.6 – the Relics Update – brings with it an overhaul to No Man’s Sky’s underground discovery systems.
Though certainly not as all-encompassing as something like the previous Worlds Part II update, Relics still brings with it countless new additions, improvements and changes, including but not limited to:
- Hundreds of new unique bones and fossils to unearth
- The ability to design and assemble complete skeletons for display
- New reanimated Guardians protecting fossil sites
- New Relics expedition
- Fossil trading
- Improvements to the ‘Abandoned Mode’
- New skeletal fauna
- Share fossil creations
- New bone-based food recipes
- Palaeontological dig sites
- Rare skeletal sandworms
- Colossal stone effigies
- Living Stone Sentries
- And more
As always, the full list of changes is extensive, and can be found HERE. All in all though, No Man’s Sky continues to be fleshed out and improved upon, becoming far more than just the game it was promised to be at launch.
