This time last year, Epic Games surprised many when they announced that Fortnite would be expanding into multiple separate games, introducing Rocket Racing; Festival and a LEGO-themed survival crafter. While some of these have performed better than others, Epic seems to be going all-in on LEGO – now announcing a GTA-like ‘Brick Life’ game mode.
Following the announcement of a first-person CSGO-inspired shooter coming to Fortnite, Epic Games have revealed that it won’t be the only new game launching soon on the ever-expanding platform, saying:
“Make new friends, explore the sights, move into your dream home, and start building your lifestyle in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life! It’s an all-new social roleplay experience in the LEGO Fortnite world, launching on December 12!”
Full details on the upcoming mode can be found HERE, however, in essence it seems like a mix between the aforementioned GTA and old school Second-Life-styled multiplayer games from the early 2000s.
As mentioned, Epic is also set to release another major game within Fortnite, with its ‘Ballistic’ FPS mode arriving just one day earlier than Brick Life. It will be interesting to see which of the two modes wind up being more popular.
