Rocksteady ends development on Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad launched earlier this year to very little fanfare, with staggering low sales for a Rocksteady title, leading to a whopping $200 million loss for WB Games. Now, Rocksteady has announced plans to end development after the game's upcoming season.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will end after Season 4. The new update will introduce Deathstroke as a playable character, alongside new gear and an official offline mode for the game. With the game now set to be accessible offline, there should be no major issues if the online component of the game goes down in the near future.

Given that very few have actively kept up with the game's seasonal content, I would not expect the online servers to remain up for very long after Season 4 ends.

In order to access offline mode and avoid losing your progress, you can create a copy of your existing online profile for offline play. The final update for Suicide Squad will arrive in January 2025, marking the official end of development on the game.

KitGuru Says: With the game now having an offline mode, it is worth picking up Suicide Squad for cheap just to see the campaign. Rocksteady did a pretty good job with the cinematics and overall story. The same can't be said for everything else surrounding the campaign.
