Monster Hunter Wilds sets another record as it surpasses 10 million players

Monster Hunter Wilds may have had some mixed reviews on PC at launch due to performance problems but that hasn't stopped the masses from jumping into the game at launch. We already knew that the game amassed a few million players during its launch weekend, but now a month on from that, the game has surpassed 10 million players.

Monster Hunter Wilds has set a new record for Capcom, becoming the fastest-selling title in the company's history. With 10 million copies sold in just one month, the game is already halfway towards catching up to Monster Hunter World as Capcom's best-selling game ever. Since releasing in 2018, Monster Hunter World has gone on to sell 22 million copies worldwide.

Monster Hunter Wilds is likely to catch up to Monster Hunter World if Capcom continues to support the game. The first free DLC update is set to drop next week, bringing new hunts for players to challenge themselves with.

Like Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise, we are also likely to see a big expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds in the next few years, which will bring about another sales boost.
