Intel expected to share more details on Arc Battlemage in December

Whispers of a December reveal for Intel's next-gen Arc Battlemage GPUs are getting louder, with a fresh wave of leaks pointing towards a pre-Christmas showcase.

Originally rumoured to drop on Black Friday, Intel has decided to hold fire on Battlemage a little longer. Hardware leaker Golden Pig Upgrade recently hinted at a December unveiling, suggesting we could see the new GPUs sooner than expected. This has been further fuelled by known data miner Tomasz Gawroński (via Gazlog/VideoCardz), who has a track record of uncovering shipping manifests for unreleased Intel Arc hardware.

With CES 2025 looming and promising a slew of rival launches, including AMD's Radeon RX 8000 “RDNA4” series and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50 series, it makes sense for Intel to steal the spotlight from the competition with an early reveal.

Interestingly, Bionic_Squash has confirmed that Battlemage isn't the end of the line for Intel's discrete GPU ambitions, quashing any premature speculation about the future of the Arc lineup. However, details about the subsequent Xe3 “Celestial” architecture remain scarce. While we know it's destined for next-generation mobile chips, its wider application and release window are still unknown.
