Watch Dogs delayed until 2014

Watch Dogs, one of the most anticipated and best looking launch titles for the next generation consoles has been delayed until 2014, Ubisoft has announced in a blogpost. The reason for the delay seems to be quality issues on the Xbox One and Playstation 4.

“We know a lot of you are probably wondering: Why now? We struggled with whether we would delay the game,” said a Ubisoft spokesperson. “But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune each detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience”

This move obviously bodes well for Ubisoft's other Next gen title, Assassins Creed IV, giving it more room for sales.

I feel sorry for the retailers, having to explain that there isn't actually a Watch Dogs PS4 bundle to sell anymore, probably won't go down well with pre-orderers.

Watch Dogs was supposed to come out on the 22nd of November for: Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Wii U and PC. Now though, it's been pushed back until Spring 2014.

KitGuru Says: Considering the game was just over a month away, this delay seems really out of the blue. Are you guys as disappointed as I am?
