Samsung Galaxy Note gets a taste of the Olympic Games

We've known for a while the Samsung is an official sponsor of the Olympic Games commencing in London later this year but until today we have yet to see any results of this. A series of pictures have been dispersed onto the internet revealing a Olympic Games edition of the Samsung Galaxy Note. What makes it special is an exclusive battery cover complete with the Union Jack and some other Olympic branding. The cover itself makes the phone slightly thicker, however it adds protection to the camera lens in the process.

The 5.3 inch Olympic-flavoured beast of a smartphone will be available exclusively in the UK through O2. There will also be an Olympic version of the lower-end Galaxy Y smartphone. Those who opt for the Olympic editions will be able to win tickets to various Olympic Games events and Samsung will donate £1 to the future stars of Team GB program for every sale. It is not disclosed as to when the phones will become available in stores.
