More pictures leak of likely LG Nexus smartphone

Following yesterday's leak of the LG E960 hiding within a case, more pictures of the likely Nexus device have been leaked. This time without the exterior casing, revealing an interesting design mashup of LG's flagship Optimus G and the current Nexus smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

The device looks very prototype-esque at the current stage with what looks to be screw holes at the bottom. The rear of the LG “Mako” looks to have an arguably neat jewel pattern to it.

The software of this leak  is noticeably newer than yesterday's leak with the Android build and kernel dates from September rather than late July. We are still not sure when this device will be formally announced but we would have to guess by the end of October.

KitGuru says: Does a LG Nexus device tickle your fancy or would you prefer such a device from HTC or Samsung, or perhaps even an iPhone 5?

KitGuru Games: The Best Console is the One in Your Pocket

Emulation is the saving grace of the video games industry. Despite its controversial nature, the technology will be the only way in which all games are preserved for the future – free from licensing agreements and other such nonsense. Better still is the fact that in a majority of cases, emulation allows for a more accurate recreation of the game’s original experience than official offerings, due to countless complex shaders, filters and tweakable settings. And the best part? Thanks to the progression of technology, your humble smartphone is able to do all this and more – giving you the power of 10,000 games in the palm of your hand.
