LG Nexus 4 pricing and specifications confirmed

In what might be one of the worst kept smarphone secrets of the year the LG Nexus 4 has again been leaked. Just a day after a press render leak, retailer Carphone Warehouse has decided to put the device up for pre-order and has since taken it down.

What it did confirm is that the Nexus 4 has a 4.7 inch, 1280×768 IPS display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 2 GB of memory. Sadly, earlier rumours appear to be true and only 8 GB of non-expandable storage is supplied. There is also a 8 MP camera capable of 1080p video capture at 30 FPS.

In terms of connectivity there is quad-band 2G, tri (not quad) band 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.

Android 4.2 will more than likely will be present, and will be a minor upgrade over the current version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, rather than a major (Key Lime Pie) update.

In terms of pricing, it is expected to cost £390 ($628 USD) off-contract. On contract though, it appears as if it will be available from Vodafone and 02 for free on a £31/month 2 year contract. The Nexus 4 will apparently start shipping the day after the Android event on October 30.

KitGuru says: While we cannot take pre-announcement leaks as gospel, everything you have just read will likely be true.
