LG executive confirms Nexus 4 launch for October 29

LG's upcoming Nexus device, now referred to as the Nexus 4 will leave the Korean company in search of some greater ability to hide their products before launch. A company executive has said that the Nexus 4 will indeed be unveiled on October 29, coinciding with an Android event announced last week.

The executive in question is Amit Gujral, the Head of Mobile Product Planning for LG's India division and has been quoted as saying that “Google will unveil the LG Nexus on October 29 and the phone will be available in the Indian markets by the end of November.”

He allegedly also offered confirmation surrounding the handset's specifications, saying that it will include a 4.7 inch display, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2.

On October 29 at the same Android event we are also expecting to see Android 4.2, 3G and 32 GB Nexus 7 models and possibly a 10 inch Samsung tablet.

KitGuru says: The Nexus 4 will at least fix one thing for LG; their reputation for woeful software updates.
