Gears of War Remastered footage leaks

It looks like there is some weight to the Gears of War Remastered rumours flying around at the moment as some video footage has leaked, apparently showing off the game. Gameplay videos were first found on XboxDVR, a site that collects videos recorded with the Xbox One’s in-built DVR feature.

The videos were pulled initially but you may manage to find the leaked footage elsewhere, since the internet never forgets (you may even be able to find a download link on NeoGAF, HERE.). The two short clips show what looks like a working build of the game.

With E3 just around the corner, all leaks seem plausible. It is possible that we will see Gears of War remastered announced during Microsoft’s press conference. Previous rumours have also pointed towards a limited edition Gears of War Xbox One with a 1TB hard drive.

It is possible that Microsoft plans to launch a Gears of War Remastered this year in order to get people excited for the official return of the franchise with a brand new title next year, similarly to how it launched The Master Chief Collection last year ahead of Halo 5 this October.

KitGuru Says: I wasn't the biggest fan of Gears of War on the Xbox 360 but I do see why Microsoft may want to re-introduce people to the series before coming out with a new game in the future. What do you guys think of all of these remasters that publishers seem to be coming out with at the moment?

    Ammm make it free?
Anyway, only played on PC and it was quite good, I recall.

  4. The two screenshots don’t look like much to be honest. I wouldn’t really call 1080/60 “remastered”.
